The research group ”Experimental Psychiatry and Psychotherapy“ at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (Chair.: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. K. Domschke) at the University Medical Center Freiburg, is looking for a 

Your tasks:

• quality control and processing of genetic and epigenetic data, including biometric database generation 
• statistical analysis of genetic and epigenetic experiments (e.g., epigenome-wide analysis of DNA methylation)
• implementation, optimization, and application of novel methods
• scientific analysis, interpretation, and publication of research data
• opportunity to participate in data collection and planning of follow-up experiments
• participation in administrative tasks within the group

Your profile:

• completed Master’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Psychology, Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, Biology, Molecular Medicine, or a related discipline
• excellent IT and statistical skills (e.g., R)
• ideally, experience in the processing and statistical analysis of epigenetic data
• good organizational and communication skills
• high motivation, capacity for teamwork, and sense of responsibility
• very good English language skills (written and verbal)

The position is part-time (75%) and limited to 3 years.
