The position is part of the Institute for Cognition and Behavior headed by Prof. Susann Fiedler. The work program for this PhD position is part of the for the international research project «Paradox Mindset for Individual Well-Being and Societal Impact». This project is funded by EU Horizon 2020 and the FWF for three years and investigates how
paradoxical mindsets – the ability to simultaneously accept and productively use contradictory demands and perspectives – can be trained and developed and what effects they have on managers, their direct employees and society.
What to expect
- Enroll in the PhD program and collaborate in an interdisciplinary
and international research project under the direction of Prof. Susann
Fiedler - Planning, implementation and evaluation of a large scale field study
- Attendance of international conferences
- Publication of research projects in international journals
What you have to offer
- Master degree in psychology, business or management (alternatively
in a related field) that qualifies you for enrollment in a doctoral
program at WU. - Interested in the following fields: decision making, leadership, wellbeing
- Strong background and interest to expand skills in experimental social science methodology / statistics
- Strong motivation to contribute to the interdisciplinary agenda of the institute
- Fluency in English required
- Highly motivated, curious, well organized, team player

The monthly gross salary amounts to €2,786.10 (14 times per year). This salary may be adjusted based on job-related prior work experience. In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits.
