PhD and Postdoctoral researcher (f/m/d) in human cognitive neuroscience
The University Hospital of Tübingen is a leading center of German
university medicine. Every year, around 75,000 inpatients and around
380,000 outpatients are treated. With around 10,600 employees, it is the
largest employer in the region. The quality of patient care is
certified with the KTQ seal of approval.
The Human Verbal Communication Laboratory (PI Oganian) at the
Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (CIN) is looking
for a
PhD and Postdoctoral researcher (f/m/d)
in fulltime for 3 years, with the possibility of extension.
The CIN is an interdisciplinary research institution at the
Eberhard-Karls-University Tübingen. It strives to deepen our
understanding of brain function and its impairment by disease. We seek
to make use of newly acquired insights to help people with brain
disorders and to launch new mind- and brain-inspired applications in
many areas of engineering and computer science.
Our group studies the neuroscience of auditory cognition, speech
perception, and verbal communication. We are interested in the roles of
sensory and language networks in these cognitive functions. We use
intracranial electrophysiology in clinical settings (iEEG/ECoG), scalp
electrophysiology (EEG and MEG), and psychophysics, as well as advanced
computational methods to map between neural and cognitive processes.
