The Division of Cognitive Psychology at at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU), Germany, is inviting applications for a

Postdoctoral Researcher Position

The contract will start on 1.4.2025 or later and will be fixed term for a three-year period. The position is full time. While the position is full time, candidates wishing to work part time may also be considered (if full-time work can be ensured through job sharing). Remuneration will be based on the collective agreement for the public service of German federal states (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder, TV-L). The applicant will conduct the DFG-funded project “How non-verbal cues determine the interpretation of pointing gestures”. For a brief description of the project visit the DFG website:

Duties/responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing, and running virtual reality experiments

• Data analysis

• Publishing in international peer-reviewed journals

• Presenting at national and international conferences

Qualifications:

• MSc degree and PhD (or equivalent) in Psychology, Cognitive Sciences, or a related field

• Practical experience in experimental psychology

• Proficient in statistics and data analysis

• International peer-reviewed publications
